How to Craft and Use a Redstone Comparator in Minecraft

In Minecraft you always need some items and tools for your survival. All of them are crafted by using the items which you gather from different regions of the Minecraft world. Redstone Comparator is one of the tools you use in the Minecraft world. This article is all about the crafting of Redstone comparator.

Redstone Comparator

In the Minecraft world you use the Redstone comparator to check the fullness of a block. For example, if you find a chest in a jungle pyramid you can check before opening the chest that it is full or not. You can also use a Redstone comparator to compare, subtract or maintain the signal strength.

Material Required to Craft Redstone Comparator

In Minecraft you can craft a Redstone comparator using three items. To craft it you would need the following items:

    • 3x Redstone Torch
    • 1x Nether Quartz
    • 3x Stones

When you arrange all these items in the crafting grid you get a Redstone comparator.

Redstone Torch

Redstone torch is the item used to make a Redstone comparator.

You can craft a Redstone torch by using Redstone dust and sticks.

Nether Quartz

In Minecraft there are some minerals which are hard to find out, same is the case with nether quartz. You can only find Nether Quartz in Nether. You must have to go to Nether if you want it and this region is very hard to explore as there is so much lava all around the nether and you must be well equipped before going to Nether. You can get the nether quartz by mining nether ore blocks.

When you mine nether ore blocks in nether they drop off crystals called nether quartz and you can collect them for later use.

Stones

Stones are the common blocks in the Minecraft world. You can find stones underground or on the surface of mountains. You can get the stones with the help of pickaxe.

How to Craft Redstone Comparator

Now you have gathered all the material to craft a Redstone comparator, just put the crafting table on the ground and open the crafting grid. Then place the nether quartz at position 2×2, Redstone torch at position 1×2, 2×1, 2×3 and stones at position 3×1, 3×2, 3×3. After this you will get a Redstone comparator.

Conclusion

In the Minecraft world you use a Redstone comparator where you need to maintain the signal strength or you can also compare and subtract it. You cannot easily craft a Redstone comparator because the main ingredient is nether quartz which is very hard to find. But once you get it you need stones and Redstone torch along with nether quartz, you can put all these in the crafting grid to get a Redstone comparator.
