ESP32 DevKitC Dual Antenna – DEV-19900 is a development board that belongs to the series ESP32. It is a very basic entry-level board. It has a very small footprint on the PCB and a rich set of peripherals. The main features of the ESP32 DevKitC Dual Antenna will be covered in this article.

ESP32 DevKitC Dual Antenna Board

This development board comes with an ESP32-WROOM-DA module. It consists of the Xtensa 32-bit dual-core LX6 microprocessor with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It has Bluetooth LE and two PCB antennas that ensure better communication. This board has pin-to-pin compatibility with ESP32-WROOM-32E, which means that it can also be used in place of ESP32-WROOM-32E.

Working on Dual PCB Antenna in ESP32 DevKitC

The two PCB antennas in ESP32 DevKitC are very high-quality antennas. They have a long range of wireless communication with very low power consumption. It is readily used in IoT applications because of its unique specs. The two PCB antennas in ESP32 DevKitC work by switching between them. This improves the reliability of the connection. When the signal in one antenna drops, it sends an API call to the other antenna. The second antenna gets activated and strengthens the signal.

How to Power ESP32 DevKitC Dual Antenna?

There are three different methods to power ESP32 DevKitC Dual Antenna. These options cannot be used simultaneously.

    • Micro USB Serial Port.
    • The 5V and GND pins are available on board.
    • The 3V3 and GND pins are available on board.
