Top 5 dyes in Minecraft
There are a total of 16 colors available and in this section, we will be discussing the top 5 dyes that you should consider.
Red Dye
You can create a red dye by placing a rose bush, poppy, red tulip, or beetroot on a crafting table. You can find them in different plains and biomes where grass and greenery are available.
You can see a red poppy flower in the image displayed above that we are going to use to make a red dye.
Yellow Dye
To make a yellow dye, you need to find a flower called “dandelion” or “sunflower” that is yellow, and after that, you need to place it on a crafting table.
In our example, we are going to use a dandelion flower to make a yellow dye.
Blue Dye
You can make a blue dye by placing a cornflower on a crafting table, which is also blue.
Other than that, you can also make this by placing lapis lazuli as well, which you can find in different treasure chests.
We will be making a blue dye using a corn flower.
Black Dye
You can make a black dye by using an ink sac that you can get by killing a squid.
Killing it will give you 2 ink sacs that you can use on a crafting table to make black dye.
White Dye
You can make a white dye by placing lily of the valley flowers that you can find only in the flower forest biome, or you can also make it by using bone meal.
Now place this flower on a crafting table to get a white dye as displayed below.
You can also make other dyes by placing 2 or more dyes on a crafting table. For example, you can make an orange dye by placing red and yellow dye together.
Uses of Dye
You can use a dye to change the color of your armor, as we did in the example below.
