Packet Flow via Firewalld

This manual will describe the packet flow via firewalld. The place where the packet gets released is known as egress. In contrast, the interface where the packets receive is also known as the ingress interface. In simple words, both are interfaces. With the help of these two interfaces, we can easily understand the phenomena of packet flow through any device.

A switch supports the firewalld filters and the data packets get transferred from the switch. There is another packet that is sent and received by the routing engine that contains the information about the routing protocol data known as local packets.
