How to Install ROKOS – Bitcoin Full Node OS (Core) on Raspberry Pi

How to install ROKOS-Bitcoin Full Node OS (Core) on Raspberry Pi

The installation of ROKOS on Raspberry Pi is pretty straightforward which only requires an image file and an imager tool to install it on Raspberry Pi SD card or USB storage.

You can use the Raspberry Pi Imager which can be downloaded easily on a laptop from this website. After the installation of Raspberry Pi imager is completed, you can then perform the following steps.

Step 1: First, you will need an SD card or USB device of minimum 16GB Storage. In our case, we are using the 16GB USB storage option. You can replace this option by buying your own SD card.

Step 2: Insert the USB storage and format it properly using the NTFS or FAT File system.

Step 3: Open the Raspberry Pi imager on the desktop.

Step 4: Click on the “CHOOSE OS” button.

Step 5: Go to the “Use custom” option and load the ROKOS image file in it.

Step 6: Next, click on the “CHOOSE STORAGE” button.

Select USB Storage option.

Step 7: Click on the “WRITE” option. 

Step 8: Click on the “YES” button to confirm data removal on the USB device.

This begins the writing process.

Wait till the process is finished and when it completes, you can then remove the USB device.

Booting up ROKOS on Raspberry Pi

After finishing the ROKOS installation on a USB device or SD card storage, it’s time to prepare things up on the Raspberry Pi device. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Turn on your Raspberry Pi device through an appropriate power option that well supports the Raspberry Pi.

Step 2: Wait for 5 seconds till you see the initial Raspberry Pi information screen. When it appears, Insert the USB storage into the Raspberry Pi port. The process will take 2-3 minutes to set the ROKOS on your device and after then, you will be able to see the OS on your monitor screen, as shown below.

You will find different Cryptocurrency related applications like BitCoin and Okcash, which will be quite helpful.
