How to See all AWS Services in Use

It is very important to keep an eye on all the active resources and services on any online platform, including the AWS account. Despite the users knowing which services they use, a written overview is much better than just assuming. This is done not only to avoid incurring extra charges in case someone leaves a service active unintentionally but also to avoid unauthorized access to the account. Moreover, users can perform the tasks well if they know the exact amount of utilization of each AWS service.

So, it is important to know how often the services of the account are being used and which services are being utilized the most. All the AWS users need to observe the usage of all the active resources and services on the account to maintain the AWS account security. Users should know every service, whether an EC2 service, CloudWatch, S3, or any other service.

How to See Active Services?

To view all the active services in the AWS account, sign in to the AWS console and visit the Billing and management console in AWS. Alternatively, the users can click on the Billing Dashboard option in the account menu.

View AWS Summary

On the AWS Billing and management page, there is the AWS summary displaying the total number of active services on the account and also the total number of active AWS Regions:

In the left-hand side dashboard, click on the Bills options to see further details about the active services:

View Names of All Active Services

This displays not only the names of the services but also their usage and costs. For instance, the number of services displayed in the AWS summary was fifteen, and the Billing interface displayed the names and costs of all fifteen services under the AWS Service Charges heading:

This was a brief description of how to view all the active services on the AWS account.

Conclusion

All the AWS users need to view which of the AWS services and resources are active. Viewing the details of active services of an AWS account requires nothing more than just visiting the AWS Billing and Management console, and all the details of active services are there. Users can manage the tasks in a better way if they know about the utilization of each service.
