How to Cap an Agent Executor Within a Limited Amount of Time in LangChain?

Agents are the vital components of the LangChain Large Language Model as they can manage all the steps and tools. The tools are required to fetch the answers to the questions asked by the user in the chat models. Different tools are required to complete the process from getting the input to the extraction of the final answer. The agents also control when and which tools are required for a particular job.

Step 1:Installing Frameworks

Firstly, install the dependencies of the LangChain module using the following code in the Python Notebook:

pip install langchain

After that, install another module called OpenAI that can build Large Language Models or LLMs:

Now, set up the environment by entering the OpenAI API key which can be extracted after signing in to the account:

Build the template for using the agent explaining what are the steps the agent needs to perform or which are the answers to be extracted at the end. The template specifies that the agent needs to be executed 3 times before extracting the final answer to make sure that it gets the most accurate one:

Run the agent by calling the adversarial_prompt configured in the previous section in its argument:

Now, simply add the “max_execution_time” parameter to cap it to a certain amount of time in LangChain:
