$ wget https://github.com/MyPaint/MyPaint/releases/download/v2.0.1/MyPaint-v2.0.1.AppImage

After that, provide permissions for executions to run the MyPaint in the system.

$ chmod 755 MyPaint-v2.0.1.AppImage

Now, run MyPaint in Ubuntu.

$ ./MyPaint-v2.0.1.AppImage

How to Uninstall MyPaint on Ubuntu

We can easily uninstall or remove the MyPaint package from Ubuntu. To uninstall the application of MyPaint, run the below commands in the terminal:

$ sudo apt-get remove mypaint

If you want to remove MyPaint along with its dependent packages, which are no longer needed in Ubuntu, then run the following commands:

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mypaint

Uninstall MyPaint Use Purging

Suppose we use MyPaint with purge options package, and we want to remove all the configuration and dependent packages. In that case, we have to put a command in the terminal.

$ sudo apt-get purge mypaint

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mypaint

If we use the purge option with auto-remove, whatever additional features are there with the packages all get removed. This option is beneficial when we have to reinstall MyPaint back.
